Privacy Policy

Gathered Love exists because families trust us with their most personal moments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

Order information: your name, email, phone number, the occasion, and details about the film's recipient that you choose to share.
Contributed content: video messages, photos, and written notes uploaded by the people you invite, along with the contributor's name and relationship to the recipient.
Basic website data: our hosting provider records standard server logs, and we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (see “Third-party services” below). We do not run advertising trackers.
Chat messages: if you chat with Glo, our website assistant, the text you send is processed to generate a reply (see “Third-party services” below). Please don’t share highly sensitive personal information in the chat.

How we use it

We use your information for exactly one purpose: producing and delivering your keepsake film, and communicating with you about your order. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your content for advertising, social media, AI training, or any promotional purpose without your separate written permission.

Children's content

Clips often include children, and we treat them with extra care. By submitting a clip featuring a minor, the contributor confirms they are the child's parent or guardian or have that person's consent. We never publish content featuring minors.

Where content is stored

Order details and clips are stored in reputable cloud services (such as Google Workspace) with access limited to the people working on your film. Finished films are delivered through private links.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Gathered Love. Each receives only the information needed for its function:

Stripe processes payments. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
Google Analytics gives us anonymous, aggregate insight into site usage such as pages viewed, general location, and device type. You can opt out using Google’s browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies.
Glo, our chat assistant, is powered by Anthropic. When you send a message in the chat, its text is transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response. It is not used to train their models. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal details in the chat.
Email delivery for order confirmations and notifications is handled by ZeptoMail (Zoho).
Cloud storage for order details and contributed clips uses reputable providers such as Google Workspace and Microsoft OneDrive, with access limited to the people working on your film.

How long we keep it

Source clips and project files are permanently deleted 90 days after your film is delivered, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or arrange extended storage. Order records are kept as required for accounting purposes.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (and your family's content) at any time by emailing us. Contributors may also contact us directly to have their clip removed before the film is finalized.
